Opportunity For Hudson River Waterfront Communities

The Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial 2009 offers an unusual opportunity for Hudson River waterfront communities to host vessels such as the Half Moon, the Clearwater,  the Fireboat, John J. Harvey, or other ships that may be visiting the Hudson River during the celebration.

The NYS Department of State is currently accepting applications under Title 11 of the New York State Environmental Protection Fund Local Waterfront Revitalization Program for municipalities to plan for the future of their waterfronts and undertake improvement projects to implement their plans. Grants require a 50% match and must be received by Dec. 7, 2007.In preparation for the 2009 celebration, your community may wish to consider applying for funding to improve your docking facilities.
