***VIEWING OF SHIPS may be apparent from all accessible shorelines Piermont Pier, Flywheel Park and the public walkway, Nyack’s Memorial  Park, and Nyack Beach State Park. Parking is prohibited on North  Broadway in Upper Nyack.

Park in lot #1 in Rockland Lake State Park (off Route 9W in Congers)  and walk Rockland Lake Road to Landing and follow Landing down to the  River Trail. It will be about 1.5 miles walk up and down steep hills.  Rockland Lake Road is the road that goes around the lake. The River  Trail between Rockland Lake and Nyack Beach is on the river with  unobtrusive views of the water.

The public will be able to view  the ships at the Haverstraw Marina  from 11AM-2PM for a three hour celebration. Although no events will  take place at Haverstraw  Bay Park or Bowline Park, they will be used  as overflow viewing areas.  The 20 person West Point Jazz Knights  will perform 2-3:30  at THE HAVERSTRW MARINA and an exhibition of  Antique Firetrucks will be held in the Marina Parking lot.

***Kingston to Catskill area one could see the flotilla well from the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park(federal park;) ; good from Norrie Point marina dock in Staatsburg (state Park)where the view is close up, the river is narrow there; and definitely a great view from the adjoining Mills Mansion

main lawn ; then also a view from the Rhinecliff town landing and train station where the boats will turn to go into Kingston for the night, and the next day a view as they head for Catskill; and next is a view from the Tivoli waterfront as they pass headed toward Catskill, not a lot of room but right down at water level; and north of that there is a public boat landing (county park) in Germantown several miles below where the flotilla will reach Catskill with a great view of the open river. As you may note, these are all on the Dutchess side of the river.

***Red Hook Boat Club, Club property open to public to allow viewing of Flotilla as it proceeds upriver abreast of club grounds. Date and times to be advertised locally.
